Dr. Leo Pruimboom is a physiologist and clinical biochemist. He has been developing Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology for 39 years. He has published over 50 scientific papers, spoken at more than 200 international conferences, and leads the only university-accredited Master’s degree in this discipline in Europe.

He is also the creator of the Intermittent Living concept, a method based on hormetic medicine, where physical stressors generate anti-fragility across the entire human soma, including the brain.

Which professionals is this Master’s designed for?

For healthcare professionals with a university degree in biomedical or health sciences: medicine (any specialty), physiotherapy, osteopathy, psychology, nutrition and dietetics, nursing, pharmacy, biology, food sciences, and related fields such as sports sciences.

How much time do I need to dedicate weekly?

The program is designed for practicing professionals. We do not require 40 hours of study per week. The total workload is 436 teaching hours spread across 3 years, with modules scheduled every 6–8 weeks and a summer break.

Is it online or on-site?

Blended format. 50% of classes are live online (with direct interaction with the professor) and 50% are voluntary on-site. On-site classes are not mandatory — they take place if there are at least 20 confirmed students. All classes are recorded and available in the virtual classroom.

What qualification do I obtain?
